My posts change with what I'm working on at the time. Sometimes it's finding good food recipies, sometimes it's work outs, and sometimes it's just things that motivate me.
And truth be told? I’ve fallen off the train to being healthy again. It probably won’t be the last time, either. I’m still being conscious about what I’m eating, but a lot more relaxed about having fast food once or twice a week and so on… I’ve also stopped exercising completely. It’s not that I don’t want to… but depression is just so terrible for me. I don’t even want to do any of the things that I use to enjoy, let alone something that was a pain in the ass to do in the first place.
If you weigh yourself every day, you can easily get discouraged during a plateau. But plateaus are IMPORTANT consolidation periods. Even though it may not be showing, a lot of things are going on biochemically inside you that are getting ready for your next big breakthrough. Weighing yourself every day keeps the focus on how quickly you are losing weight. Take the focus off how quickly you are losing weight and focus instead on how effectively you are transforming your body permanently.
Why would this be a joke? I think it’s pretty awesome! Everyone has down time where they scroll through the internet, so why not keep yourself busy while you’re doing it? It’s not meant to replace your main workouts, just add a little extra whenever you can.
I was originally aiming to get a Nike Fuelband, but on top of being ridiculously priced, a lot of reviews explained that it was more or less a very inaccurate measure of how much your arm moves.
